In 1948, in the heart of Cape Town, a small family
business began roasting peanuts and
hand-packing potato crisps. With a passion for
flavour and a commitment to quality, Messaris
quickly became a local favourite.
Over the decades, our product range has grown —
from the iconic Bubbles maize snack that has
delighted generations, to our flavour-packed
potato crisps and premium treenuts and peanuts
sourced from the best farms around the world.
What hasn’t changed is our heart. We remain a
proudly family-owned business, built on tradition,
authenticity, and the joy of shared moments.
